While working for the Commercial Sales divisions of both Ford and Dodge, the founder of Spike Truck and Equipment, Jason Lothspeich, recognized a gap in the services those companies were willing to provide. His customers often came to him with used trucks and equipment they wanted to sell or trade-in, but the dealerships were typically unwilling to pay anywhere near market value for their used equipment. This meant Jason’s customers either had to take a large financial hit on their used equipment, or they were forced to deal with the sale of the used equipment on their own.
Leaving the relative safety and comfort of the dealership environment was a big gamble, but Jason believed he could provide a service to this group of customers in a way the dealerships couldn’t. In the fall of 2017, he created Spike Truck and Equipment.
Spike Truck and Equipment takes the hassle out of selling excess equipment and inventory by helping facilitate every aspect of the sale. We photograph sale items, list sale items over appropriate electronic and paper media, and correspond with perspective customers on the owner’s behalf. Once a match has been made, we will even arrange for the shipping and delivery of the equipment and inventory items.
